he Philadelphia 76ers have reached an agreement in principle with center
Lavoy Allen on a two-year, $6 million contract, league sources told Yahoo!
Sports.
Yup. Over. Paid. It’s not going to kill the bank. But, I really don’t think
a few okay, perhaps good, games in the playoffs equals $6 million over two
years. I’m more nervous now about what would happen if the Sixers decided
to, say, sign Jamal Crawford. Oh. No.
Seriously, Allen was overpaid. I mean, it’s not that bad, but the qualifying
offer of slightly less than $1 million was better suited for him, I would
think. I like Allen; I do. But, I’m not feeling too good with that contract.
We’ll see if he lives up to it.
