He’ll work alongside former Sixers coach and general manager Jim Lynam and John Celestand in providing analysis. McKie was not retained as a Sixers assistant coach when Brett Brown was named head coach in August. He had been a holdover from former coach Doug Collins’ staff and had another year left on his contract. McKie, a local product having played for Simon Gratz High School and Temple University, wore the Sixers uniform from 1997-2005. During the team’s run to the Finals in 2001, he was named the NBA’s 6th Man of the Year.
