There is a partition in between the two floors. 第二句会用起来怪怪的....而且不合乎文法 时间也是如此。 也有是说between通常是c是从a到b，或连接a和b 而in between是c在a和b某个点之间，并无和a,b连接 总而言之，问语言学者最快.....XD 母语人士大概只是感觉用对了就是对了.....就跟我们中文是一样 我觉得第一句若改成The table is between the chairs.念起来感觉还ok 但是第二句只有between就觉得怪怪的....in between念起来比较顺 --
