Adelman said Monday, April 15, he believes his status will be confirmed "in a couple of weeks," when he hopes to have more information about the health of his wife, Mary Kay, who is being treated for seizures. "I certainly don't want to hang out for a month or so," Adelman said before the Wolves' 96-80 loss to Utah at Target Center. "That's not fair. I think the situation will take care of itself in a couple of weeks. "We have to see what the doctors think and the possibilities that are there. That will weigh heavily on what I'm going to do." Adelman, 66, said part of the process is finding doctors for Mary Kay in the Portland area, where they live in the offseason. Wolves team physician Dr. Sheldon Burns has been coordinating most of the treatment in the Twin Cities. Adelman plans to return to Portland after the Wolves play their final game of the season at San Antonio Wednesday night. He said Mary Kay has several appointments coming up that could be vital in his decision. When Mary Kay was hospitalized in the Twin Cities in January, Adelman missed 11 games to be by her side. "I've tried not to go one way or the other with this," Adelman said. "You still have to approach it like you're going to be back. What happens with Mary Kay could turn things in a different direction. Right now, I don't see that."
