"I would tell him to look for another alternative," Taylor told radio host Chad Hartman on WCCO-AM 830 on Friday. This was in a hypothetical context because Adelman's future hasn't been addressed and the team is focusing on the final stretch of the season, Taylor said. At the end of the season, April 16, a two-week window opens for the team and Adelman to decide if they want to use the fourth year on the coach's $20 million contract. Taylor said he and Adelman talked this week about finishing the season strong, but not the future. "He hasn't said anything to me about the future and I haven't discussed it with him," Taylor said. "I just thought it would be best to wait until the season is over." Saunders responded on his weekly appearance with radio host Dan Bareirro on KFXN-FM 100.3. "My perspective from Day 1, I moved into this position because I enjoy this position," Saunders said. "I never said that, one, I would coach or wouldn't coach. ... You don't know what is going to happen down the road." Saunders, who coached the Wolves for nine-plus seasons before being fired in 2005, added that he is also trying to focus on the construction of a new practice facility and renovations of Target Center.
