我想请问的是，Presumably这个单字的「推测」意涵有多少的确定性呢？
是指「假设一个状况（类似举个例子）」，或是「可以推测而得（对结果的推论）」？
我觉得应该是因为我对presumably这个字的字义没有掌握到，
才让我对原文中however後的那句有种逻辑上接不起来的感觉orz。
虽然我後来发现不管是哪个解释，我前後文好像都接不上... QAQ
但还是至少想要知道presumably这个字的用法，感谢大家的指教！
让我感到困扰的一段原文如下：
One ingredient in therapy is the client's beliefs or expentancies that
treatment will work.
Presumably a plausible nonspecific-treatment control
group would have this ingredient as well so that client expectations for
improvement could not explain outcome differences between treatment and
control conditions. However, devising a credible control condition requires
a rationale about why this "treatment" is likely to be effective and why
procedure in or outside of the treatment sessions look like credible means

我的翻译：
在（心理）治疗中的一个成分是个案对於治疗会有用的信念或期待。
（假设有个情况是／可以推论而知）一个非特定治疗的控制组也会有这样的成分，导致
