Liverpool boss Benitez wins Valencia case

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez won the first round of his compensation battle
with former club Valencia.
Benitez and assistant Paco Ayestaran, now also at Liverpool, have won
￡2 million in compensation over the way they left Valencia at the end of
last season.
Marca says the decision was made by a Spanish Football Federation tribunal
, though the case will have a further - and final - hearing in May.
