Morientes' First Day at Valencia CF
Fernado Morientes is looking forward to “begin because it is a new stage, a
new team and a new city”, after having passed through the medical
examination in Sanitas’ medical establishment Milenium.
The football player is confident of “winning some title for the supporters —
his first words as Valencia CF’s player— because I’m lucky to have sign
with such a Club as Valencia”.
Fernando has praised one of his forward team-mates, David Villa. He describes
him a “a great player, besides having very good forwards. I hope all our
injuries are respected”.
With respect to the number of goal he intends to score this season, he says
that he has “never marked a number, because it doesn’t depends on me, but
on injuries, shape, and these vary during the season, but it is not something
that I have in mind.
The goals are going to come.” Valencia CF’s new player Fernando Morientes
has shared his lunchtime with president Juan Soler, during these first and
important hours, which are so suitable for getting in touch with the team
where he is going to play for the next seasons.
The international forward has had lunch with the maximum leader of our team
in one of the hotels in the very downtown, together with vice-president
Enrique Lucas, manager Juan Galiano and advisor Juan Galiano.
They have all had a wonderful soirée where, once more since his arrival, we
have been able to see the player really happy for his signing with our team.
Looking forward to start working after a month and a half of holidays, and
excited, as he has said to the president, about winning at least a title to
dedicate it to the supporters, who have open him widely their doors.
Juan Soler has wished him good luck in this new stage of his professional
career and he has shown delighted with his naturalness at a personal level
and with his ambition professionally speaking.
