标题[新闻] Adele Top Billboard & Official Charts
时间Thu Mar 3 01:34:51 2011
Adele storms in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her sophomore
album "21" selling a mighty 352,000 copies in its first week according to
Nielsen SoundScan.
Adele, who took home the best new artist Grammy award in 2009, reached No. 10
with her debut set "19." It has spent a total of 71 weeks on the tally and
has shifted 948,000 copies in the U.S. This week,
it bounds 50-16 on the
Billboard 200, giving the singer a pair of albums in the top 20. It's the
first time an act has placed their first two releases concurrently in the top
20 since Justin Bieber did it on June 5, 2010 with "My World" and "My World
2.0."
小贾斯汀这不算吧!?
Another "21" song,
"Someone Like You," which she has been performing to great
reaction on a number of TV shows lately, bows at No. 45 with 51,000. Adele
memorably sung "Someone Like You" on the Brit Awards on Feb. 16 and in two
weeks' time, its two clips with the most views on YouTube have racked up 3.3
million views.

27/02/2011 - Adele claims Top Two albums, as Gwyneth scores Glee hits
Adele this week scores two Top Five singles and two Top Five albums for the
second successive week, spurred by the impact of her Brit Awards performance
two weeks ago – the Official Charts Company reports today.
In the Official Albums Chart, she scores an impressive one-two, with her new
21 album holding on in the Number One slot, while her previous release 19
moves up into second place.
他跟披头四已经是同等级了....
In the Official Singles Chart, Adele is at Number One again with Someone Like
You, which sold more than 110,000 copies for the second week in succession –
while Rolling In The Deep is at number four.
It is the first time for almost 12 years that one act has held the top two
places in the Official Albums Chart. Back then, in March 1999, The Corrs’
Talk On Corners held first place, with Forgiven, Not Forgotten in second.
It is also a week after Adele set another record - becoming the first living
artist to achieve the feat of two Top 5 hits in both the Official Singles
Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously for 47 years, since The
Beatles back in January 1964; their singles I Want To Hold Your Hand and She
Loves You were numbers two and five, while their albums With The Beatles and
Please Please Me were numbers one and two.
The impressive performance by Adele underlines the continuing impact of the
Brit Awards. Brit Awards performers account for seven of the Top 10 biggest
albums this week, as reflected by the Official Albums Chart.
The other story of the week is the impact of Glee and Gwyneth Paltrow’s
emergence as a Top 40 artist for the first time. The latest Glee abum, Volume
Four, arrives at four in the Official Albums Chart, while Paltrow’s
performance in last week’s show results in two singles featuring her –
Singing In The Rain/Umbrella and Forget You – arriving at 22 and 31 in the
Official Singles Chart.
Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot says,
"Adele is
proving to truly be THE star of 2011. Her album has already become the
must-have release of the year and for Someone Like You to top 100,000 sales
for two successive weeks demonstrates what a huge hit it is."

Adele continues to dominate
Adele is continuing to dominate the singles and albums market, despite the
arrival of new challengers this week, according to this week’s Official
Chart Update.
Her album 21 is steaming ahead in the Official Albums Update, despite the new
competition from Jessie J’s new album Who You Are and Different Gear Still
Speeding by Beady Eye, which are on course to enter this Sunday’s Official
Albums Chart at two and three respectively.
连Jessie J也要礼让前辈....
(都是Critics' Choice Award & BBC Sound of Year 出来的 一个是08 一个是11)
In the singles market,
Adele's Someone Like You single is again dominating,
selling almost 50% more than the second placed Jessie J Ft B.O.B. single in
this week’s Official Singles Update.
我只想说 英美双榜全被他给攻陷了....
台湾怎麽不跟进咧XDD
