打着"BBC Sound of 2012入围新人"的名号 虽然没有进入前五名，毕竟前五名都太强了。 这首是Ren在发行首张专辑前的新主打， 而专辑"Through the Night"，(没错，和她的首波主打同名) 也在5月14号，也就是今天，在英国的iTunes上架了。 整张专辑由Jimmy Hogarth制作。 (制作过Amy Winehouse和Duffy的专辑) 比起Through the Night，Open Up Your Arms唱法更加奔放， 歌词也很坦率、真情。 老实说，这首歌真的有让我惊艳到，它带出了Ren嗓音的潜力 ，让人期待整张专辑还会有什麽样的火花存在。 Ren的出道过程其实也和很多人一样，把自己的demo带放在 My Space，然後就被经纪人Paul Harrison相中，接着就开始 筹备新专辑。但是很不幸的是，去年5月的时候，有人从篱笆 跳出来结果撞到她，住院住了两个多月，专辑也因此延宕了 一阵子。也因为住院期间注射吗啡来止痛让她有感而发，所 以翻唱了滚石合唱团的Sister Morphine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bijOOr3F53E 这首翻唱曲有收录在 Open Up Your Arms的EP。 ----- BBC介绍专页: http://tinyurl.com/76qdkug ----- 那麽就请各位客倌好好聆听吧!
