Some of his newer material features grinding guitar riffs looped on top of distorted breakbeats, accentuated by smooth synth layers and fluttering percussion. Capricorn, who points to Meat Beat Manifesto and the Chemical Brothers as influences, has recorded and mixed many Dutch acts, as well as artists such as Prince, the late Falco and Ian Gillan. Besides releasing music under such pseudonyms as Paranoiax and doing remixes for the Art Of Trance and Nalin & Kane, Capricorn has hit nearly every genre (including Drum 'n' Bass, downtempo, Techno and Trance) on his own.
