标题[请益] William Blake's "Proverbs of Hell"
时间Tue Nov 9 15:35:23 2010
I've encountered this quote in a heated debate amongst my friends, and I would
like to see everyone's take on this very interesting subject. :)
The quote goes like this:
No bird soars too high, if he soars with his own wings.
My interpretation is that, one can be satisfied with the height he has reached,
and boast about, so long as he has achieved his feats through his own power and
hard work. And one that did not, is ultimately undeserving to do so.
Now my friend's perspective, which I disagree, is relatively simple: The sky's
the limit. As long as you try, there is no height that you cannot reach.
Alright guys, any input would be greatly appreciated, let's hear 'em! :D
