前言：每个英文的介系词都有他的含意 要深入研究才会比较了解为什麽会这样 你问一般的外国人，他们一定不知道 因为他们会使用，但不见得会去研究（除非他是教英文的或是研究语言学的） 就像是我们知道中文，会使用中文， 但有时候也无法解释为什麽要这样用而不能用其他用法 ※ 引述《jiannan1828 (Rubinstein)》之铭言： : 话说，我最近把以前的文法书拿出来翻了一遍， : 看到介系词的地方，突然想到一些以前不曾想过的问题。 : 介系词，提到位置 in , on , at , next to , above , under , behind : 他说了：在箱子里，叫作 in the box : 在箱子上，叫作 on the box : 在箱子旁，叫作 next to the box : 在箱子上空，叫作 above the box 如果是正上方的上空，要用over the box : 在箱子下，叫作 under the box : 在箱子後，叫作 behind the box : 我的问题来了，搭公车，叫做：on the bus 为什麽不能是 in the bus? 因为公车上有平面可以让你在上面（on）走来走去 可是在一般的轿车当中是不可能有这样的平面 所以on the bus/plane/train in the car/taxi/van : 在家里叫作：at home 或是 in the house 为什麽不能是 in home 或是 at house? home是「家」的意思，house是「房子」 每个人都有一个家 但可以有好几个房子 「房子」是种建筑物，所以他有空间让你在里面(in）走来走去 而「家」，每个人的定义不同 对於流浪汉，公园的长椅是他的家 对於小鸟，鸟窝是他的家 所以在家，会用比较语意模糊不清且表示位置的介系词at : 在房间叫作：in the room，可是在图书馆却是 at the library : 为什麽不可以是 in the library? 其实at the library或是in the library都可以 只是表达意思有些不一样 in the library强调人在图书馆里面 at the library则是表明人图书馆这，表示人的位置 -->在图书馆里面或在外面都是在图书馆这里，没有强调在图书馆里面 所以人在图书馆的门口，就要用at the library : 还是说也可以？？ : 因为我问老师这个问题，他也答不出一个所以然来。 : 我自己是有想过，是不是会动的，就是用 on? : 不会动的用in? : 比较有可能会有公众人在走动的，用 at? : 那厕所又怎麽说？ at restroom? in restroom? : 那， : in the hospital? at hospital? 如上面解释 in the hospital/ at the hospital in the restroom/ at the restroom都可以 ^^^记得要加个定冠词the : in class? at class? 没有at class的说法 in class是上课中 : at school? in the school? at school是人在学校，正在上学 in the school是人在学校（建筑物）里面 : 这些呢？ : 在火车里，用 on the train，那 in the train呢？ 没有in the train这种说法 如最上面的解释 : 那在火车站train station，又要怎麽用？ : on tha train station? in the train station? 通常会用in the train station on the train station是在火车站的最上面 除非要自杀，才会跑到火车站这个建筑物上面 可是那时应该会用on the roof of the train station : 有没有人会这样的问题？ 我觉得你这些问题很好呀 可以促进大家去思考英文 这边也推荐一个很不错的网站 http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/grammar/ask_about_english/ 有关英文文法问题 大多都可以从这里找到答案 找不到答案，还可以问 --
