我之前写信给ISO有关ISO 3166-1 Country Code里面提到中华民国国名显示不正确 加上有些系统会从ISO直接取值来显示 所以不少系统全都显示不正确 然而ISO回信如下:(而且回信很快 我刚写完他没几分钟就回了 大概是复制贴上) The purpose of the standard ISO 3166-1 is to provide codes for the representation of names of countries, territories or areas of geographical interest, such as "TW", "FR", "GB", etc. It is not established to provide the names of countries, territories or areas of geographical interest. The UN sources which provide the names listed within ISO 3166-1 are: *The United Nations Bulletin Country Names *Country and Region Codes for Statistical Use of the United Nations Statistics Division While the first publication does not contain an entry for Taiwan, the entry used to appear in the online version of the second publication "Country and region codes for statistical use". However, we were informed by the UN that the entry was removed from the online version and now the name only appears as a reference in the printed version of the publication. In addition, the online United Nations Terminology Database (UNTERM) currently also gives the name of Taiwan as "Taiwan Province of China".
