標題[問題] 有高手能幫我翻一下這句話嗎???

It is proven experimentally that the analytical procedures
can be used to calculate the fracture toughness
only when the fracture tip radius is small ,
due to their ineffectiveness in dealing
with problems beyond fracture mechanics.
句中單字:
analytical procedures---分析步驟
fracture toughness---破裂韌度
fracture tip radius---裂縫尖端半徑
fracture mechanics---破壞力學
底下是我翻的部份:
實驗上的証明，分析步驟只有在裂縫尖端半徑很小時，才能計算破裂韌度，
這是由於該行為在破壞力學之外的問題是無效的。
這句話我翻了好幾次，總覺得不順，如果有高手，麻煩幫我訂正一下
