我觉得可以不要 at 但是另有两处请参考︰
为了性别平等，新鲜人 freshman 有人用 frosh 代替。而且会用 he or she 取代
光光一个 he (and
himself or herself instead of just himself)。我个人论文
里常用 s/he 来简化，但这不是主流。
